Compact Excavator Tree Grapple
|
The flow divider valve (known as diverter solenoid), divides the oil flow so that one can both rotate the grapple and open and close the jaws. The valve is located close to the grapple. A electric wire ( from the beige box to the right) runs to the cab where the operator has a switch that selects the oil flow to either the rotation or opening or closing the jaws.
Above: To the left, a hand controlled electric switch to select the oil flow to either the opening and closing of the jaws or the rotator. The hand switch can be fastened to a hydraulic lever as shown below. With a hand switch, the operator can always see what operation has been selected. To the right: A footswitch leaves both hands free to operate other functions. We have both.
Above: A hand switch installed on a hydraulic lever.
